I feel honored to accompany my clients through their difficulties and challenging emotions; to see them transform and thrive in so many areas of their lives. I work from a psychodynamically-oriented perspective, incorporating principles of family systems, cognitive behavioural, and relational therapeutic modalities, and mindfulness practice. This approach enables me to engage in depth psychology, thereby getting at the root of the problem, while at the same time, helping clients feel and function better as soon as possible.
My goal in working with you is to help you achieve your goals and lasting positive change. I will work collaboratively with you in a holistic manner, acknowledging personal resilience and strengths, identifying views or behaviours which may be keeping you stuck, and helping you to take action toward healing, self-expression, and joy.
If you have suffered a critical incident or loss I will help you to process it therapeutically, helping you to become unstuck, or preventing lasting negative effects, and ensuring you will be able to wholeheartedly move forward with your life.
If you are seeking help with your relationship, I will help you to empower yourself within the relationship, while at the same time finding balance, increasing mutual respect, and deepening your emotional connection.
If you suffer symptoms of anxiety, panic or depression, we will work together to understand and decrease the symptoms, and pave the way for increased joy moving forward.
If you need help managing your anger, we will identify and redress thoughts, behaviour, and beliefs that contribute to unmanageable or explosive anger. I will help you to identify, attend to, and address emotion in ways that are healthy for you and those around you.
If you are experiencing problems in life overall related to past unresolved trauma, we can begin to tackle the most critical area of your life in the short-term, and proceed with longer term therapy as needed.
